Boiled eggs are a simple, nutritious snack, but peeling them can sometimes be a frustrating task. Here’s a foolproof method to make perfectly boiled eggs that peel easily every time.

What You’ll Need:

  • Eggs

  • Small pot

  • Water

  • Ladle or large spoon

  • Ice (optional)

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Heat the Water:

Fill a small pot with enough water to fully submerge your eggs. Place the pot on the stove over medium-high heat and wait until you see bubbles forming on the bottom of the pot—this indicates the water is about to boil.

  1. Add the Eggs:

Using a ladle or large spoon, carefully place the eggs into the hot water. You’ll notice small bubbles rising from the eggs as they adjust to the temperature.

  1. Set the Timer:

Allow the eggs to cook for 10-12 minutes, depending on your preferred level of doneness (10 minutes for softer yolks, 12 minutes for fully hard-boiled).

  1. Cool the Eggs:

Once the timer goes off, transfer the eggs to the sink and run cold tap water over them for a few minutes. Empty the warm water from the pot and refill it with fresh cold tap water.

  1. Optional Chill Tip:

If you live in a warmer climate, consider adding ice cubes to the water to speed up the cooling process. Let the eggs sit in the cold water for 10-12 minutes until they are cool to the touch.

  1. Peel with Ease:

Lightly tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell. The shells should come off effortlessly, leaving you with smooth, perfectly boiled eggs.
